BCBA is a privately funded community training center, its Youth Empowerment programs are intended to help at risk kids 9 thru 17. BCBA provides a structured environment where people feel a sense of belonging. At BCBA the goal is simple, help build better people through a variety of sports and fitness programs including: Olympic Style Amateur Boxing, JUDO, Muay Thai and more.

Head Boxing Coach and Director, Ray Bettinelli believes that the same skills needed to succeed in the ring are the same as those needed to succeed outside of it. His Boxing, Martial Arts and Self Defense programs are ALL intended to add structure, discipline and build POSITIVE self-esteem so all who participate in them are prepared to go on to become Champions in Life!

As part of our commitment to serving the community, BCBA makes space available to fellow non profits, community leaders and other outreach programs provided their objectives are designed to educate, motivate or inspire.

Byron Garrett

Our mission at BCBA is simple, serve our community with a facility that is safe, clean and provides a positive environment where young people, Veterans and residents can train, feel a sense of belonging while developing the self-reliant skills they'll need to become Champions in Life!

Our well-rounded fitness and wellness programs are specifically designed to help people meet the challenges that lie ahead in their lives, so they won't feel the need to turn to crime, drugs, gangs or other self-destructive behaviors.

Additionally, we want to become known as a full-fledged community center where everyone can benefit from the many programs we offer which are designed to educate, motivate and inspire!

Our challenge is to convince local residents, zoning boards, community leaders, business owners and politicians the importance of having centers like BCBA in their communities. As Coach Ray puts it; "a community should have at least half as many Centers like BCBA in it as they do Pizzerias or Delis'".

Their challenge will be to step up, lend their time and support so BCBA can grow and continue to do the great community work in does.

The vision for BCBA is that it becomes a beacon or light that will lead others to see the importance of having a center like BCBA in their own community. BCBA hopes to become a model on how bringing together both the Profit Sector and Non Profit Sector can not only benefit each other but also positively impact the very communities they do business in. When these two forces join, centers like BCBA can grow, expand and even create additional centers one community at a time; further impacting the lives of young people in the community in which they operate.

"We have no government armed in power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."
